Per Baseball America, RHP Daniel Lloyd has been released from Chesapeake's (Double-A) roster.
Lloyd was a 14th-round pick out of South Carolina back in 2021, appearing in 140 games over the next six seasons, reaching as high as Double-A. Across 326 innings, Lloyd posted a 20-21 record with a 4.39 ERA, 322 strikeouts, and 6 career saves.
After a dominant month of May this season (1.84 ERA, 11 K/3 BB), Lloyd was placed on the IL in mid-June with an undisclosed injury that kept him out for the rest of the season.
Back on June 18th, 2022, when he was in High-A, Lloyd was part of the second no-hitter in Aberdeen's history, joining Peter Van Loon and Xavier Moore to secure the no-hitter on the road at Jersey Shore.
