The Baltimore Orioles have signed 17-year-old RHP Victor Padilla to a minor league deal. Padilla is listed at 6'0" and 165 pounds and joins the organization from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. With this year's international signing period quickly coming to a close, any unused money disappears, so teams are using what international bonus pool money they have left to bring in talent.
Padilla turns 18 in March and will likely pitch in the Dominican Summer League next season.
