LHP Jayvien Sandridge rejoins Baltimore Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles have signed LHP Jayvien Sandridge to a minor league deal for the 2027 season, per MASN's Roch Kubatko.

Originally drafted in the 32nd round of the 2018 draft and a Hagerstown, Maryland native, Sandridge was released in 2020 and bounced between the Reds, Padres, Yankees, and Angels organizations before the Orioles sent cash considerations to the Angels for him in March 2026.

Sandridge appeared in six games with Triple-A Norfolk this season before missing the rest of the year due to an injury.

With the Tides, Sandridge averaged 93.5 mph with 17 inches of IVB and nearly 7 feet of extension, while primarily relying on his low-80s slider and mixing in a low-90s sinker.

The 27-year-old lefty made one MLB appearance with the Yankees back in 2025 and will now get another chance to reach the big leagues with the organization that originally drafted him.
